Dosbarth Indigo - Miss Justyna
Dosbarth Indigo is one half of the Observation and Assessment unit at Ysgol Bro Banw. The Observation and Assessment Unit is a very special place to be. We are a person-centred special unit where the child is at the heart of all that we do.
We aim to provide enjoyable and challenging learning experiences and offer opportunities for each pupil to reach their individual potential, encouraging them to shine. We strive to enhance pupils’ health and wellbeing, personal and social development and celebrate children’s individual achievements!
The Observation and Assessment Units have qualified, committed and enthusiastic teaching staff. We work closely as a team and love what we do!
Meet our team!
We pride ourselves on our working partnership with families and we provide many opportunities for discussing how our pupils are progressing.
Progress meetings to discuss progress include parents evening meetings and meetings to discuss Individual Development Plans which are reviewed at least once a year. We also have an open door policy and are happy to meet with parents whenever we can! All parents and carers are invited to attend a range of events throughout the year to celebrate the achievements of our pupils.
The information exchange between the class teacher and parents is vital in ensuring we meet the needs of each child. We use the App Class Dojo to communicate with parents daily and to share updates about what is happening in class.
We tailor our curriculum to the individual needs of our pupils. It is mainly contained within four main areas:
