Dosbarth Glas - Miss Gimblett
Welcome to Dosbarth Glas!
Our pupils have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and communication and social difficulties- they are at the heart of all that we do.
In Dosbarth Glas, we teach using a thematic, multi-sensory approach. Our activities are pupil centred. All pupils have access to the six areas of learning and experience within the new curriculum and follow individual programmes that will cater for their specific needs.
The children learn through practical, hands-on experiences with the emphasis on making learning fun. The children have weekly opportunities to visit places of interest in the locality to extend their learning experiences outside the school and to develop their communication skills in a variety of settings.
We strive to enhance pupils’ health and wellbeing, communication, life-skills and independence.
