Our Curriculum Vision Statement

Our Bro Banw Curriculum is designed to: 

• Inspire and nurture warm, inclusive, empathetic relationships, underpinned by growing our school values for our children, their families, staff and the community of Ammanford.

• Engage our children in rich, meaningful, authentic learning experiences that spark curiosity, sustain interest, deepen understanding, promote independence and foster a genuine love of life-long learning, with the development of the four core purposes of the Curriculum for Wales at the heart of our provision.  

• Adopt an Inquiry based model of learning, with a focus on researching, understanding and taking meaningful action to solve problems originating in the classroom, our school, our locality of Ammanford and our nation of Wales.

• ‘Encourage Every Child to Shine’ through a rich, stimulating, safe and secure learning environment, which enables every learner to achieve, grow from mistakes and demonstrate courage on their learning journey to reach their full potential, ultimately, as ethical ‘change makers’ and global citizens of the world.
